This research is part of the exploration and experimentation of the possibilities of designing open source fabrication systems based on biological structures. In particular, we explored the fabrication from the mycelial tissue of Chilean native fungi raised on by-products of the agricultural industry. The material obtained has environment-friendly characteristics, such as requiring low energy expenditure in its manufacture process or such as being biodegradable, reincorporating it into the ecosystemical processes.
